Cold Drawn Reinforcement Coil & Wire
Hy-Ten supplies CARES approved cold drawn coil to BS 4449 2005 grade B500A & B in diameters from 8mm to 18mm and coil sizes from 1t to 4.5t.
Hy-Ten also supplies cold drawn wire to BS 4482 1985 in diameters from 5mm to 9mm and coil sizes from 1t to 4.5t.
Hy-Ten can also manufacture materials to suit a customer’s own specification should this be required.
The advantages of using Hy-ten cold drawn reinforcement coil and wire:
- The process of cold drawing produces a very malleable coiled material that is much easier to work and produces more accurate and consistent finished products than hot rolled material. Using cold drawn material also results in far lower levels of scrap and less wear and tear on automatic processing equipment.
- Hy-Ten’s coiled products are available in coil weights of up to 4.5t, offering substantial advantages in coil change/ replacement time when compared to using smaller hot rolled coils.
