This coupler is designed to join rebar in staged construction while protecting your formwork from damage. The coupler is supplied pre-assembled to the rebar with a mounting plate for attachment to the formwork. The thread has a pressed-in metal disc to protect it from ingress of dirt or mechanical damage. It’s main advantage is that it allows a safer construction site by eliminating protruding dowels. Most commonly used for slip forming, segmental pours and stair well applications.
