Hy-Ten's New Bamtec Factory Serving London & The South East Issued 22nd September 2008 Hy-Ten has recently opened a 2nd Bamtec manufacturing plant at Wallingford, near Oxford. The new factory has been established to meet rising demand for our Bamtec slab reinforcement product. The plant includes a state of the art robot that can process up to 20mm coil and can produce complex finite element carpets that substantially reduce contractors' steel reinforcement costs. Hy-Ten's New Building Steel Depot Serving The West Midlands Issued 1st July 2008 Hy-Ten has just opened a new building steel manufacturing & distribution centre at Coseley, near Birmingham. Our new 20,000 ft2 facility supplies reinforcement bar, mesh & accessories, structural steel and galvanised lintels and makes daily deliveries throughout the West Midlands and beyond. Cold Formed Grade 500B Reinforcement Coils Issued 2nd June 2008 Hy-Ten has become the 1st UK company to be CARES approved to cold form 10 & 12mm reinforcement to grade 500B. We supply this material in layer wound coils - weight to the customer's specification, up to 4 tonnes. This unique and innovative product enables our cutting and bending customers to combine the higher productivity benefits of using cold formed material in large coils with the benefits of using grade B material instead of grade A material. Bamtec - Saving Customers Up To £200/t Issued 29th February 2008 Through ongoing investment and innovation we are continually improving our market leading slab reinforcement product - Bamtec. Consequently, Hy-Ten's Bamtec customers are now using up to 35% less reinforcement in their slabs than they would if using cut and bent. Hy-Ten achieves ISO14001 certification Issued 4th February 2008 Hy-Ten has become the first concrete reinforcement fabricator in the U.K. to operate an environmental management system with ISO14001 certification. As part of our EMS, Hy-Ten aims to provide reinforcement that is sustainable and has a low embodied carbon footprint. Galvanised Lintels - New Stock Centre Issued 3rd October 2007 Hy-Ten now stocks IG steel lintels at our Wolverhampton depot in the West Midlands. This is in addition to our extensive stocks of both IG and Birtley steel lintels at our Chatham, Poole and Staines depots. Accordingly, we can now offer same day collection and 24/48 hour delivery services to lintel customers throughout the South and the Midlands. Hy-Ten's Latest £300,000 Investment Issued 1st August 2007 Hy-Ten Poole has taken delivery of a state of the art EVG Automatic Bender. The PBC 2-20A can straighten, cut and bend 2 16mm reinforcement bars simultaneously, it has 2 bending heads, an automatic bar size changer and an advance speed of 95 metres per minute - making it the most sophisticated reinforcement bender in the UK. Hy-Ten's Gabions at the Chelsea Flower Show Issued 1st July 2007 Hy-Ten Gabion Solutions has supplied gabions for the Marshalls Sustainability Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2007. The Garden was designed by Scenic Blue who used Hy-Ten's gabions filled with stone rubble to create the walls of a studio room incorporated into a mound on which foxgloves and other wild flowers have been planted. The Hy-Ten Shear Rail Issued 1st May 2007 Hy-Ten now designs and manufactures shear rails. The Hy-Ten Shear Rail is a quick and efficient shear reinforcement solution that replaces traditional time consuming hook and bob shear links. Hy-Ten's design team produce calculations and location plans and once these are approved our shear rails can be on site within 5 working days. CARES Approved 14mm Reinforcement Bar Issued 2nd April 2007 Hy-Ten is now CARES approved for the manufacture of grade 500 14mm reinforcement bar to BS4449:2005. Hy-Ten is the only company in the British Isles with CARES approval to manufacture this diameter. Our H14 bar is available in coils (weight to the customer's specification, up to 2.5 tonnes) and in straight lengths (up to 12m). New Sheet Pile Profile Available Issued 3rd July 2006 Hy-Ten are pleased to advise that Vitkovice have increased their well regarded range of sheet piles with the introduction of the VL 606 profile which is the equivalent of the no longer rolled Corus LX25. As stockists and distributors of Vitkovice profiles, Hy-Ten's sheet piling division at Chatham now offer the VL 602 (LX8), VL 603 (LX12), VL 604 (LX16), VL 605 (LX20) & VL 606 (LX25). Reinforcing Bar Couplers & Threading Issued 1st June 2006 Hy-Ten has just opened an Ancon threading facility at our Staines depot near London and we now offer a wide range of Ancon couplers & threading to suit. Hy-Ten also has Erico Lenton threading facilities at our Bootle and Newark depots. Woven Mesh Gabion Products - New Appointment Issued 10th March 2006 John Barker has joined Hy-Ten Gabion Solutions as Woven Mesh Sales Manager. John comes to Hy-Ten after 27 years at Maccaferri Ltd where he was Sales & Purchasing Executive. John's appointment is part of the continuing expansion of our gabion product range which now includes both woven and welded mesh gabions, mattresses and rock netting.

Concrete & Reinforcement Accessories - New Appointment Issued 11th November 2005 David Whitfield has joined Hy-Ten as Sales & Marketing Manager for Concrete & Reinforcement Accessories. David comes to Hy-Ten from Fosroc where he was National Sales & Marketing Manager for Admixtures. David's appointment is part of Hy-Ten's committment to enhancing and expanding the range of products and services we offer our customers.

New Bamtec DVD Issued 21st October 2005 Hy-Ten have produced a new Bamtec dvd. The film shows the Bamtec system from design to installation and explains the advantages of using Bamtec. Hy-Ten & Bamtec Issued 2nd May 2005 Hy-Ten has taken delivery of its latest Bamtec manufacturing unit. This latest addition comes hot on the heels of the fully automatic bamtec machine installed in November 04. The fully automatic machine enables Hy-Ten to supply complex finite element designed reinforcement - resulting in tonnage savings of up to 20%.

Galvanised Lintels Issued 11th April 2005 Hy-Ten stock an extensive range of Birtley "Supergalv" lintels at our Chatham, Poole and Staines depots ready for immediate collection, same day delivery or our standard next day delivery. Birtley "Supergalv" lintels are the only lintels available in the UK that are post galvanised (click here for the advantages of post galvanising).
